Healey Jamiel, Director, Producer, Writer, Camera www.holywater-gate.com Mary Healey Jamiel is a documentary filmmaker and
an Associate Professor of Film/Media and Communication Studies at the
University of Rhode Island. Mary's 2005 award-winning documentary, Holy
Water-Gate, navigates a psychological drama that unfolds before the camera
and soulfully questions ones deepest assumptions about the forces of good and
evil. Holy Water-Gate is currently broadcasting on the Documentary
Channel.
She has produced and directed films about Lyme
Disease, Global
Climate Change and is now devoted to capturing the extraordinary story of
Matthew Zarrella and his K-9 Teams. Mary is honored to have exclusive
access to Zarella, a Sergeant serving with the Rhode Island State Police,
his USAR and Task
Force II Wilderness teams. The teams dedicate thousands of hours of
volunteer training with their dogs in order to save the lives of others.
Ken

Ken
Willinger is an Emmy award winning Director of Photography. He has filmed
news and documentary projects around the world with much time spent
in South America, The Middle East, Africa and Europe. Credits include
documentary, narrative, commercial and episodic TV. Some of Ken’s most
recent documentary credits include "Vanished" – an HBO documentary
currently in production, PBS - "Buried Secrets of The Bible" - NOVA
"Forgotten Ellis Island " PBS, 2009, Prometheus Bound: The Epidemic
of Hepatitis C – 2007 Freddie Award and was nominated for a National
Emmy in 2008.
Daniel
Sousa, Animator www.danielsousa.com Sousa uses animation and themes commonly
found in mythology and fairy tales to examine archetypes of human nature, and
the inner struggles between our intellects and our unconscious drives. Rather
than following conventional narratives, he approaches filmmaking from a
painter’s perspective. He focuses on states of mind, evoking the fragility of
fleeting moments, memories and perceptions. In addition to his independent
projects, Sousa has worked as a director and animator with Cartoon Network,
Olive Jar Studios, Global Mechanic, and Duck. He is a founding member of
Handcranked Film Projects, a group of New England filmmakers actively engaged
in the production of independent experimental films.
Mary
Lampson, Consulting Editor Mary Lampson is an award-winning independent
documentary filmmaker and editor. Lampson co-edited the academy-award wining
documentary Harlan County, USA and worked as an editor on many other
independently produced documentary features. She has worked with Emile de
Antonio, Ricky Leacock, D.A. Pennebaker, Barbara Kopple and, most recently,
with Julia Reichert, Steve Bognar and Anne Makepeace, Michael Tucker and Jill
Eikenberry. Lampson has also worked in the dramatic format. Her film Until
She Talks was produced independently and aired on the PBS series American
Playhouse. Until She Talks won Best Film Made for Television at the
Mannheim Film Festival, a Cine Golden Eagle, a Blue Ribbon at the American Film
Festival and Best Short Dramatic Film at the Athens Film Festival. She has
produced over 25 short live action films for Sesame Street. She has been a
fellow and advisor at Robert Redford's Sundance Institute.
She also teaches filmmaking to children as an artist-in-residence at all levels
of K-12.
Ayla
Fox, Camera, Production Assistant
Ayla Fox is a recent graduate of The University of RI with a
double major in Wildlife Conservation Biology and Film Media. Her passion
is to create films that depict environmental and social issues in a truthful,
unbiased light, invigorating the audience to think, question, and become
inspired. She recently worked with Plan USA editing and producing video for
various developing nations in Africa.
She also helped to build Plan International's social campaigns, and
launch an interactive website for Plan Youth. Her Recent works include documentaries,
Against the Current, a film about river herring population decline, and,
Core Wiring, a self-reflective documentary about the deep influence of
technology on the developing child's mind, body, and spirit.
